Marquis Cut

The marquise cut diamond resembles a football in shape, and similarly to the oval diamond, it is another version of the brilliant cut. This cut is particularly good for making the most of its apparent size. It’s long thin shape results in one of the largest crown surface areas available. Typically, the marquise cut will range from 1.75-2.15 as a length-to-width ratio, but these precious stones come in many different sizes. The most important quality of the marquise cut is symmetry, as any misalignment will be noticeable.
