Sanjay

Hi, I’m Sanjay; Jay as most of you may know me as. I was born and raised in Mumbai, India in 1974. I went to Don Bosco High School and graduated in 1988. I continued my education and got a degree in Business. After college, I started selling telecom equipment in a business partnership with my uncle. Always being fascinated with foreign land, I came to St. Thomas with my uncle and started working with Navin and as they say “the rest is history”. It has been more than 16 years since I have been a part of the Grand Jewelers family and St. Thomas is home.

I met my wife on the island at a Christmas party in 1998 and we instantly felt the sparks fly between us. We started dating and 2 years later in 2000 I popped the question to which Nisha happily agreed. We have 2 beautiful children. My daughter Rhea and son Dhruv. Outside of work, I enjoy listening to music and watching movies. Every Sunday my ritual is to clean my cars and relax by the beach at Magen’s Bay with a couple of beers, provided it’s not raining.

My experience at Grand has been no less than a “GRAND” experience. The thrill of meeting new people and making new friends doesn’t fade away after being a part of the industry for more than 16 years. I enjoy the challenges of being a part of the competitive nature of the business and always make it a point to make sure every customer that walks into the store leaves with a big smile.
