Raj

My name is Rajesh (Raj) and I was born in Bangalore, India. I grew up in Bangalore along with my siblings. I completed my education there and was outstanding in Math. As a child, I was fascinated by trains, motorcycles and particularly gemstones and their formations. I wanted to be a locomotive pilot. But, God had different plans in store for me. My uncle in Curacao needed assistance in running his business and I happily accompanied him. I started working in the field of electronics and ended up being there for 12 years.

I would travel to India to visit my family. During one of my visits, my parents arranged to have me meet a prospective bride. It was love at first sight when I met, Lavina, my wife. After a few months of spending time with my family, I decided to move to Europe and explore my options there. I went there and found a job with a company that dealt with the distribution of sundries. I went back to India and got married. My wife and I then moved to Europe. My wife hated the cold weather and found it difficult to stay. I started looking for some other options. My wife had some family and friends that live in St. Thomas and she suggested we move to the Sunny island and see what it has to offer. It has been more than 12 years now that St. Thomas has become home. In my free time I like watching movies, television hit series such as 24, Homeland and so on. I also enjoying spending time with my son and answering all his questions specially regarding airplanes.

I started working with Navin and it has been a wonderful journey. I love meeting new people and bringing a glow on their face every time I find the perfect piece of jewelry. My colleagues have become my friends and part of my family. I would like to take this opportunity and thank all our wonderful clients who are now a part of our extended Grand family for all their love and support.
